Euch LüftenEuch Lüften, die mein Klagen, Elsa's aria from Wagner's Lohengrin, is sung at the beginning of Scene 2 in the second act. Elsa appears on the balcony. Unknown to her, Friedrich and Ortrud, who are out to destroy her, are nearby and plot while she sings her thanks to the breezes for bringing her hero and beloved Lohengrin to her. Lohengrin was one of Lehmann's first real sucesses in Hamburg where she began her career. This recording was made in 1930 with members of the Berlin State Opera Orchestra conducted by Frieder Weissmann.
