| Recent Lehmann- related Finds at the Library of Congress etc. There are small elements of the Lehmann Discography which will be changed, but the major news was the discovery of a test pressing of Lehmann's performance of "Du bist wie eine Blume" by Robert Schumann at the Library of Congress. Though she recorded this earlier in her career with a chamber orchestra, the 1941 Columbia recording is with the original piano accompaniment, performed by Paul Ulanowsky. Romophone, which just released a wonderful Lehmann CD, is planning another CD covering the Columbia recordings. I wrote to them to tell them about the pressing and encouraging them to use it. In the Museum of Television and Radio in New York City, I was able to listen to Mme. Lehmann discussing her many performances with Toscanini. Though recorded late in her life, she still remembered with excitement various important moments with Maestro. Though many people provided new, interesting material for the Lehmann WebSite, the most important single "find" was Alice Marie Nelson, who studied with Lehmann. She has agreed to chair the Lehmann Alumni. Alice Marie will write to all of the other students and let them know about the WebSite and the Lotte Lehmann Foundation.
